About NGSR

Next Gen Sports & Rec’s mission is to offer fun and safe sports and recreational programs, activities and events for kids in the Beaver County and Greater Pittsburgh area. Next Gen Sports & Rec was founded by Tim Kraemer back in March 2022, with the desire to provide high quality youth sports and recreational programs in the area while wanting to create a positive impact and difference in the lives of all youth who partake in them at the same time.

We want to teach and help kids develop their physical, social and cognitive skills to help them get better, improve in whatever activity or sport they choose to play.

Character

Character Development

We put a large emphasis on character development in our programs, which to us is equal if not more important to skill development. Our teaching and coaching philosophies are influenced by the Character Counts Organization and its Six Pillars of Character which are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. Physical skills do not take precedence over cognitive, social or emotional skills but rather work together to help kids learn and become the best versions of themselves. This holistic approach is a core component of our coaching, teaching and way we interact with our participants. In the same way, we also train and mentor our staff in these ways, helping them grow and learn as they also invest in the next generation.

We desire to create a place where all families feel welcomed and our programs and events provide opportunities for people of all ages to connect with one another to create a sense of belonging, unity and being part of something that is greater than ourselves!

We are all about having fun! One of our favorite 3 letter words, if not our favorite, is the word fun! Sports and recreational activities are ultimately meant to be enjoyed! At Next Gen Sports & Rec we do our utmost to incorporate the element of fun in everything we do and provide smiles, laughter and joy whenever and wherever we can!

Next Gen sets itself apart from other similar businesses in the industry mainly through their teaching approach and views on sports and competition. We believe that sports is a microcosm of life which allows for people to learn some valuable life lessons and skills such as teamwork, leadership, communication and perseverance, just to name a few. We also believe in healthy competition which is a way to challenge us and bring out the best in us, rather than the worst and in turn view winning as more than simply the final score at the end of a game but rather how we played the game.
